Thanksgiving

It's been a while since my last post. It's mostly just been because I've been too lazy to blog and because I haven't really been up to much. BUT! It was Thanksgiving recently. So I'm gonna put up a few pictures.
Kollin came with me to my house for Thanksgiving. We had fun. I like to wear his hat sometimes. And he hates pictures. lame.
I love Thanksgiving. I love being home in Logan too. It is so much fun to be with my family and friends. I was very busy during the break. I rode a horse! I still don't like horses. But it was kind of fun. I ate delicious pie at pie night. I went to Blackfoot and saw my family there. I spent time at my dad's house. That was a lot of fun. We had fun. I took tons of pictures with Emma. Cuz that's what we do. Most importantly, I was able to spend time with the people I love most. I'm grateful for Thanksgiving break. I'm grateful for the time I had to spend with my family and my friends.

I Love Fall

So, I went back home for fall break. It was a lot of fun. Fall in Logan is beautiful. I love it there. Logan feels like home. So Sarah, Kellie and I went up Green Canyon and admired the leaves. And took pictures :) Pictures are fun. There was a cool cave and we climbed up to it. Oh and we saw some deer. The leaves in Logan are gorgeous. I love it. Fall is probably my favorite season. The weather is wonderful. Today, I just laid out on the grass and basked in the sun for a few hours. It was perfect. I am grateful for the beautiful of the world, friends, and fall.

Bye Bye Mouse.

So. The mouse has been caught! Dead. Smooshed by the mouse trap. Luckily there was no blood. I was down in Kollin's apartment watching "Wait Till Dark" with his roommate and a friend when my roommate came down. She was like, "So.... who wants to clean up a dead mouse?" Of course Kollin gets all excited and starts heading for my apartment. When I get to my apartment I see that the mouse had set off the trap and had been caught. Poor little guy. He was kinda cute. So Kollin gets the mouse all taken away and put in the dumpster and we head back down to Kollin's to finish the movie. Well a little while later my roommate comes back down to his apartment and says that we have another mouse and it is living in the stove. Apparently, we caught a different mouse, not the one living in the stove. Aye! I'm living in a mouse infested apartment.

Well Hello Mouse.

So...... yesterday a mouse was found in my apartment. Our kitchen is kind of torn apart in search for this fury little creature. I want to get a kitty. They eat mice right? Our guy neighbors are having fun attempting to kill the mouse. Poor little mousey. It's so cute.... Well..... Hopefully it will survive the next few days and find a new place to live, because I don't think my oven/stove is a very safe home for the cute little guy.

Travel is What I Desire.

I want to Travel!!! Lately, I have been passing my time looking at all the amazing places I want to travel. I know, I traveled all last semester... But I have caught the travel bug and all I want to do now is explore the world, learn new languages, experience other cultures, and see the beautiful world! It's really hard to focus in school when my heart desires to be elsewhere. My heart desires to speak Spanish and go to:

Machu Picchu!
I learned in my Spanish class that Machu Picchu is an Incan city located 8,000 feet above sea level. It is the "lost city of the Incas." What I find amazing about Machu Picchu is that it wasn't discovered until 1911 because it is so hard to get to. How cool is that?!

Iguazu Falls!
Iguazu Falls are located on the border of Argentina and Brazil. It's an area that has about 275 waterfalls. It looks beautiful and amazing and I want to go.

St. Basil's Cathedral
This cathedral is located in Moscow, Russia. According to legend, after this cathedral was built Ivan the Terrible asked the architect/builder if another could be built like it. And the builder said yes, so Ivan the Terrible blinded the builder so that a cathedral as beautiful as this one would never be built again. I think it is a beautiful cathedral and I would like to see it in person....

Plitvice Lakes National Park, CroatiaWhat can I say? It's beautiful.

I want to go everywhere. Maybe one day, when I finally decide on a career, I will be able to travel as much as I would like. Until then, I will just have to be content looking at pictures. And exploring websites with amazing pictures.

Fair!

This last weekend I went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair with Kollin. It was a lot of fun! We skipped class on Thursday and left for Logan to watch Emma's soccer game. She is an amazing soccer player. I'm super proud of my little sister. She is pretty much awesome. On Friday we drove to Blackfoot and went to the fair!!
My family likes to watch the horse races so we spent most of the day watching the horse races. I'm not very good at guessing who is going to win but it is still good times. I love watching the Indian Horse Relays. They are always pretty exciting. The relays on Saturday were way exciting. People got ran over by horses and poles and it was pretty much awesome.
I love fair food! It delicious. I ate so much. Kollin had never eaten fair food at the fair before so... that was fun. We ate funnel cake, tiger ears, corn dogs, rice bowls, funnel cakes, ice cream, fried cheese curds, cheesecake on a stick! Pretty much anything that is delicious i ate.
There were tons of sweet animals at the fair. There was a cow thing called a Watusi. It's horns were HUGE!
It was fun because we could pet the animals so I got to pet a bunch of cute goats and sheep and adorable Vietnamese potbelly piglets. They were adorable! I want a cute little pig! That would be a lot of fun and it would be soooooo cute.
So, the most red-necked thing that we did at the fair was go to the Demolition Derby. Kollin and I were in the bleachers right close to all the action and there were sooooo many red-necks. I had beer spilled on me, people cussing all over the place, it was pretty funny. But I loved the derby. It was super fun to watch those cars get smooshed by other cars. There were a few fires, which was awesome. And there was a lot of smoke and mud and yup it rocked. I guess I am kind of a red-neck at heart.....
Pretty much, this past weekend was amazing! It was great to see my family again. I haven't seen most of my relatives since before I went to Europe so it was great seeing them. It was great to spend the weekend with Kollin and eat crap loads of fair food. Pretty much my weekend was "Udderly Fantastic."

Mustard, Mayonnaise, Catch-Up

So.... It's been a while.... Life has been busy. But great! I believe the last time I posted anything I was in Salzburg. So let's catch up.
Leisel and I spent our last days going around Salzburg like tourists. We took pictures with the Festung, Mirabell Gardens, pictures with the Festung at Mirabell. Typical touristy things. It was nice because it was actually sunny.
Then we said goodbye to the Zauggs. The Zauggs are the senior missionary couple that are assigned to the Salzburg area. They are amazing and took great care of me and Leisel while we were there. They are our Salzburg parents and I love them! After we said goodbye to Salzburg, Leisel and I headed for a weekend in Munich, Germany. It was a good weekend. We splurged and stayed at a hotel! First time we'd stayed in a hotel since February. It was nice. Munich was good. We were both kind of lazy and took the weekend nice and slow. But we saw some fun things. Like the old government building, some cool churches, and some cool gardens. It was a really nice weekend. Full of Kebap, Church, and good times. From Munich I headed home. It took a 10 hour flight, 2 hour layover in Atlanta, and 4 hour flight before I finally arrived in SALT LAKE CITY, UT! It was great seeing my family again! The next stop after SLC airport was Cafe Rio! Yup. It was delicious.

Once I got home, I caught up with friends and family and it was splendid. :) Two days later Gaby and I went to Park City to visit Kollin! It was a lot of fun. Gaby, Kollin, and I rode the Alpine Slides. Those things are sweet!
Then we swam a little and laid out in the sun and took a bunch of silly pictures. And we took some cute pictures too... So Park City was great. Since Park City I have been balancing life with friends and life at La Beau's.Life has been pretty splendid. Full of adventures. Getting ready to go back to Cedar City. Work. All that good stuff. Life is Europe was great, but I guess it is time to get back to the real world of work and school. I am so grateful for the time that I was able to spend over in Europe. I learned so much and saw so many things. It was an amazing experience. One that I will look back and cherish all my life.
