Crepes in Paris

The next stop on my trip was to Paris. Paris is a fun city! I saw a lot of things in Paris.
The Eiffel Tower by day.
The Eiffel Tower by Night. Views from the second story of the Eiffel Tower. Notre Dame Cathedral The Bell of Notre Dame The Gargoyles of Notre Dame
The gargoyles were my favorite part of Notre Dame, they were soooo cool!
The Louvre.
I saw the Mona Lisa. It is smaller than expected. The art in the Louvre is amazing. There is so much to see. And it is all amazing.
The Moulin Rouge.
I love the movie the Moulin Rouge. I love the songs in the movie. The actual movie is kind of weird...
The Chateau Versailles
This palace blew me away. Everything was so ornate and beautiful and covered in gold. I loved the Hall of Mirrors which was full of chandeliers and mirrors and overlooked the gardens. Which were huge and amazing!
The Gardens of Versailles.
I loved the gardens. They were fun to take an afternoon nap in. They were HUGE and so beautiful.
Paris was so fun. It was full of delicious crepes and pastries. The city was full of lights. I loved the Eiffel Tower. It was huge and beautifully lite at night. The Chateau Versailles was beautiful. I had a lot of fun in Paris.

Zürich

Leisel and I went on a trip recently. It was a BLAST! The first stop was Zürich, Switzerland. In all the cities that I have been to in Europe, Zürich is probably the cleanest. The city has a river running through it and a lake. It is nice. I think the best word to describe Zürich is nice. It is just a calm place to be. There was a really nice park that we walked through. Like honestly there was no trash, cigarette buds, leaves or anything on the streets. It was so clean! We even saw a cleaning man cleaning the outside of a garbage can. That was cool. There were a bunch of churches there. Zürich was a pretty cool city. It would be a nice place to live if you were rich and older. Everyone seemed very chill and relaxed. We looked for chocolate places but were couldn't find any :( But I did eat the best muffin I've ever eaten in my life. It was apple and caramel and it was absolutely amazing! One of the highlights of Zürich for me was....... The first Mexican restaurant in all of Europe! Yup the food was delicious. I got a quesadilla. :) Zürich was a really nice city. It was a really good first stop on our 5 country trip.

Fun in the Sun

Recently Leisel and I went on a little adventure to this lake called Attersee. It took a lot of work to get there. First we had to get on the train. Then switch trains. Then switch trains again. Thanks to my momma, I have a book on Austria and it said that there was a cool waterfall so we decided we would start out and walk to find it. As we were walking we saw a sign that said "Burggrabenklamm Wasserfall" 13 KM. I was like whaaaa? I don't want to walk that far. So we saw a bus stop and waited for the bus for an hour. Finally the bus came and we took the bus to the closest stop to the waterfall. It was still 30 minutes walk away. So we walk and walk. I saw a snail! It was HUGE!And I saw a Dandelion :) FINALLY we get to the trail for the waterfall. At first I thought that was the waterfall. And I was like ooh cool... I walked a long ways to see this. But then Leisel and I found a trail. It was closed.. But we went on it anyways. We are good at following rules :) Next we saw this:Oooh so that is pretty cool. We kept walking and we came to a sketchy bridge. Yup we crossed it. After crossing the sketchy bridge we came to the waterfall. It was pretty. The amazing thing about the water and the waterfall is how CLEAR the water is. You could see right through it. After we saw the waterfall, it was about a 15 minute hike to the waterfall, we started back on our way to the bus stop. Here are some pictures of the lake. It was beautiful. When we got back to the bus stop we realized that we had to wait an hour for the bus. They only come every other hour on Saturdays. While we were waiting we heard a band play. Then we saw this:
Did I mention this was April 30th? They were getting ready to set up the MAY POLE! We decided to watch their May Pole setting up ceremony while we waited for the bus. Here are some pictures: Everyone wears their traditional Austrian clothing on May Day. It was fun and funny to see the guys in their Liederhosen and the girls in the Dirndl. So that was cool the watch them set up the May Pole. When the bus finally came. We got to the train station and oh guess what. The train didn't come for an hour. It also only came every other hour. So we decided to go frolic through the fields and practiced our handstands on the train tracks.
All in all it was a really good Saturday.
